For the range of a matrix, see Column space.

The range of a function $ f $ is the set of all values to which $ f $ would be defined given its domain.

In statistics, a range is also the span of the data, the distance from the maximum to minimum values. It may be computed with the simple formula $ max - min $ in terms of the sample.
